Fitz and The Tantrums Santa Barbara Concert reviews
James Taylor and band were great
On 26 July, we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Thanks to James for the wonderful show. We splurged on some good seats for that day and were not disappointed once we located them. The music had no complaints. The All-Star Band was truly great. Our issue was with the GOLD GATE. Traveling from Madison, IN, we arrived slightly early. While waiting in line to enter, the rain began. At 6:30, the gate attendants approached and attempted to confiscate our umbrella due to its shape. However, our umbrella DIDN'T have a point, but a flat plastic top that was only 3 inches tall. It appeared they were more focused on taking our umbrellas rather than allowing us to enter. Why couldn't they permit us to enter a bit earlier before the rain started? We discovered that the Main Gate granted early entry to seek shelter. Both of us got soaked while waiting in the restrooms for the rain to cease. Luckily, we had spare dry clothes in our car and were able to change. Although it created a memorable 40th Anniversary, the behavior of the GOLD GATE staff was questionable. Following the concert, we had to journey back to Indianapolis. We were extremely grateful for those dry clothes.
